Batteries and SMPS in telephone exchanges or power plants must provide the equipment they serve with standby power in the event of a power failure. Unfortunately, however, the capacity of such batteries can drop significantly for a number of reasons before their calculated life expectancy is reached. That is why it is so important to check batteries at regular intervals, and the only reliable way of measuring battery capacity is to conduct a discharge test. Model EL100A is an electronic load and far superior to conventional resistive load units since load discharge takes place at constant current. The Artificial Battery Load Test Discharger Model EL 100A is used for battery systems of 40V to 60V, highest permissible current being 100A in steps of 10A. If higher current is desired auxiliary Battery Electronic Load Units can be connected in parallel to Model EL100A. The Digital Monitoring System stores the voltage readings every 10 minutes in memory. The readings can be recalled by operating push buttons. Provision for RS232 PC interface. |
